Copyright notices

How to report content that infringes a copyright, and how to answer a report.

Last updated October 29, 2026

Killer Pilots respects the rights of photographers, videographers and other creators. If you believe something on the site infringes a copyright you own or control, this page explains how to tell us and what happens next. It follows the notice and takedown process in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

What to send

A notice needs to include:

Where to send it

Email the notice to [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright notice". A postal address for our designated agent is being registered with the US Copyright Office and will be listed here when it is complete.

What we do

When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material, usually within two business days, and tell the account that posted it why. We keep a record of the notice. If a notice is incomplete, we will ask you for the missing details before we act.

Counter notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter notice to the same address with the subject line "Copyright counter notice". It needs to include:

We forward the counter notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to keep the material down, we restore it between 10 and 14 business days after we receive your counter notice.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyrights.
