Terms of service
Plain terms for a free directory.
Last updated October 29, 2026Version 2026-10-29-draft
These terms cover your use of Killer Pilots, the website at killerpilots.com and killerpilots.us and everything on it. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who we are
Killer Pilots is operated by SiteRecord, the company that owns Killer Pilots. When these terms say "we", "us" or "Killer Pilots", they mean SiteRecord. You can reach us at [email protected].
Who can use the site
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Killer Pilots is a United States directory, built for pilots who fly commercially under FAA Part 107 and for the people who hire them.
Anyone may browse the directory without an account. You need an account to contact a pilot, to leave a review or to create a listing.
Your account
- One person per account. Do not share an account or sign in as someone else.
- Give us accurate details and keep them current.
- Keep your password private, and turn on a second factor. We offer email codes and authenticator apps.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us right away at [email protected].
Pilot listings
A listing is the pilot's own statement about their work. If you list, you are responsible for the accuracy of everything on it: your credentials, equipment, insurance, service areas, pricing and portfolio.
Every fact on a profile carries a label that says where it came from. "Certificate reviewed" means a reviewer has looked at the document the pilot uploaded. "FAA record matched" means the name on the listing matched a record in the FAA's public airmen registry. "Pilot-provided" means it is the pilot's word and we have not checked it.
We may edit, unpublish or remove a listing that is false, misleading, unsafe or against these terms. When we do, we will tell you why.
What Killer Pilots is, and what it is not
Killer Pilots is a directory. We help people find pilots and help pilots be found. We are not a party to any engagement, contract or payment between a visitor and a pilot, and we do not manage, supervise or insure any flight.
We do not warrant any pilot's work, insurance, licensing or availability. A label on a profile tells you what we reviewed and when. It is not a promise about the pilot's future work. Verify what matters to you before you hire: ask for the certificate, the insurance binder and references, and put your agreement in writing.
Reviews and disputes
Any signed-in account may review a pilot once. Reviews are named: they show your name, whether you are a pilot or a client, and when you joined. Write about your own experience and keep it honest.
A pilot may reply once to a review and may dispute it through our process. While a dispute is open the review stays visible with a "Disputed by pilot, under review" label and still counts toward the rating. We decide each dispute and post the outcome and a short note on the review, so the record stays visible either way.
We may remove a review that is spam, harassment, off topic or clearly not about the pilot's work.
What you upload
You keep your rights to the photos, video links, text and documents you upload. You give us a license to host, resize, show and distribute the public parts of your listing on Killer Pilots and in search results, link previews, badges and sitemaps for as long as the listing is published. That license ends when you remove the item or delete your account, except for copies already cached or shared by others.
Certificate and other verification documents are different. They are private, stored separately, seen only by reviewers and used only to review your credentials. They are never shown on your profile or shared with anyone else.
Only upload what you have the right to upload. If you believe something on the site infringes your work, see our copyright notices page.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, harvest or bulk-collect contact details or any other data from the site.
- Do not harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Do not send spam, unsolicited offers or the same message to many pilots at once.
- Do not misrepresent your credentials, insurance, experience or identity.
- Do not upload malware, probe the service for weaknesses or interfere with other people's use of it.
- Do not use the site for anything illegal.
Pricing
Browsing the directory and listing on it are free right now. If that ever changes, we will tell pilots in advance, and nothing already listed will be taken down without notice.
Grow the hive
Pilots can invite other pilots with a referral link. A referral counts when the invited pilot's Part 107 certificate review is approved, and rewards go to the pilot who sent the invitation. One counted referral per invited account, no self-referral, and referrals that look like fraud are not counted. We may change or end the rewards at any time.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Your listing comes down right away and your personal data is removed within 30 days.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is used for fraud. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Disclaimers
Killer Pilots is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any listing is accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including about merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SiteRecord is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of business, data or profit, arising from your use of the site or from any engagement with a pilot or client you found here. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the site is limited to 100 US dollars. Some states do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. Each version carries a date and a version number at the top of this page. When the terms change in a way that matters, we will ask you to read and accept the new version the next time you sign in.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled by talking to us will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
